The general instrumental facilities at SCS include FTIR Spectrophotometer, UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, CHNS Analyser, Raman Spectrometer, Fluorescence Spectrometer, High Performance Liquid Chromatography, Gas Chromatography, Combi Flash, Karl Fischer titrator.p>

Research areas:

The instruments are used for qualitative and quantitative analysis purposes across all the branches of chemistry and other related subjects.

Shimadzu FTIR Spectrophotometer, Shimadzu UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, CHNS Analyser, Agiltron Raman Spectrometer, Agilent Fluorescence Spectrometer, Agilent High Performance Liquid Chromatography, Shimadzu Gas Chromatography, Lumen CombiFlash, LabIndia Karl Fischer titrator.

Achievements:

The general instrument facilities are the backbone of SCS, and have resulted in high-quality research publications. Also, our MSc students get opportunity to get hands-on training on some of these instruments, which is helpful for them in future after M.Sc.
