Introduction

Goa University has its Alumni Association registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 with Reg. No. 90/Goa/96, as Goa University Alumni Association. It also has an alumni association for its school named, Chemistry Department Faculty Alumni Association (CDFAA) registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 with Reg. No. 491/Goa/2010. Goa University is organizing different alumni activities in its school/program.

The Directorate of Student Placement and Alumni Relations (DSPAR) organizes Alumni Meet, to maintain and nurture the relationship with alumni to build a strong professional network. These meets provide alumni with valuable insights into the pivotal role played by the University in shaping the educational landscape of Goa state and its noteworthy contributions to research across various disciplines. It also underscores the significance of alumni attention towards the University's future roles and plans, emphasizing how their contributions can play a crucial role in shaping the institution's trajectory. For Goa University Alumni Association the membership is open to student alumni.

Objectives of the Association

• To compile, maintain and up-date from time to time a directory of all the members of the association.
• To create and enhance the image of the Goa University as a premiere educational institution in the country.
• To create and develop healthy cooperation between Goa University and the community, in general.
• To institute and establish scholarships, grants, awards and prizes to the student community of the university.
• To Facilitate training/coaching to the students.
• To develop a sense of social and community service amongst the students of the university.
• To institute prizes and awards for outstanding project work/research papers.
• To stimulate amongst the members of the association dedicated thought and efforts towards the promotion and development of the Goa University.
