Ordinances

Goa University was established in June 1985 consequent, to the enactment of "The Goa University Act, 1984" by Goa Government on the 28th November, 1984. Till date University has published three volumes bringing out all the Ordinances and amendments to Ordinances approved by the Chancellor upto 31st March, 2004.

During the last few years more new Ordinances have been enacted and some existing ones were amended or replaced. Considering that a series of repeated and vital changes have been incorporated in the Ordinances time and again it was felt necessary to combine all the three volumes and merge them with the latest Ordinances/amendments as on date to facilitate easy reference by the users.

The responsibility of reorganizing and merging the Ordinances was entrusted to a Committee consisting of Prof. Jayant S. Budkuley, Ms. Bertha T. A. D'Mello e Daniel, Mr. Dilip Chari and a single merged version of Ordinances is brought out in this volume. We acknowledge our gratitude to all the Committee members.

These Ordinances are available on the website and shall be updated as and when changes are carried out.

It is hoped that this merged version of Ordinances will be of benefit to all academics and administrators.
