The broad functions of the University's Directorate of Student Placement and Alumni Relations (DSPAR) are
- To organise placement drive
- Organise seminars and guidance workshops
The DSPAR organises at least one placement fair a year. Students passing out from Goa University can try their luck. A good number of employers participate and identify smart students suiting to their needs.
A Placement Fair-2019 was held on 8 May 2019 from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm in the Arts Faculty Block, Goa University. The fair was organised in collaboration with Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry and in association with Goa 365. A total number of 698 students registered online while 236 students physically participated in the fair. Although 28 companies registered online, 21 companies and one career academy attended the Placement fair.
The 21 companies that participated were Lakshya Academy, Online Productivity Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Goan Recreation Clubs Pvt. Ltd., UNICHEM Laboratories Ltd., Caculo Group, Reynold Weddings, Aspirations HR, IMS CAD Centre, A&Fly Management And Consultancy, Aspire Corporate Solutions, Crecio IT Interactive OPC Pvt. Ltd., C P Aquaculture (India) Pvt. Ltd., Museum of Goa (MOG), SR Inspection LLP, The O Resort & Spa, Arthashastra Securities Consultancy Pvt. Ltd., Tangentia India Technology Pvt. Ltd., Tentwenty Digital Agency, GMI Zarhak Moulders, Palmarinha Resorts, Jubilant Foodworks, and Tirumphant Institute of Management Education (TIME).
The companies had notified 131 vacancies. Out of 287 students who appeared for the interview, 78 students were selected/shortlisted. For details, Click Here.

Terms of Reference:-
- To provide different opportunities and knowledge about different domains to the students on University Campus.
- To invite prominent Resource persons / Alumni to guide and prepare for different competitive exams.
- To organize Workshops / Training / Seminars for the benefit of students.
- Develop interaction with Industrial Delegates.
- Motivate students for self-employment.
Support Committee
A committee to support DSPAR and to ensure the smooth conduct of placement and Alumni activities at the University.
The members/co-ordinators shall assist the Director, DSPAR in organisation of placement and Alumni Relations related activities of the University in general at their respective Schools in particular.
To organise guidance Workshops/ Training programmes for students.
To help to secure/ identify appropriate placement/ Professional avenues and ascertain professional growth of the students/ alumni members and communicate to the student.
To compile placement data of the School/ Programme.
To organize Goa University Alumni Meet.
The members/ Co-ordinators shall assist the Director, DSPAR in organisation of placement and Alumni Relations related activities of the University in general at their respective Schools in particular.
