Mega Beach Cleanup Drive: Swachhta Hi Sewa

Mega Beach Cleanup Drive Successfully Organised by National Service Scheme Cell, Goa University, SHM Group and Elixir Foundation at Miramar Beach, Goa under Swachhta Hi Sewa 2026. With the objective of protecting the coastal environment and creating awareness about cleanliness, a grand Drive was organised at Miramar Beach in Goa. The students made a significant contribution to cleaning the coastline by collecting plastic, paper and other solid waste from the beach area. During the entire campaign, a total of 56 kilograms of waste was collected, which, with the support of the city administration team, was sent for proper disposal and scientific recycling.

Field Visit - MA Public Administration

Environmental Administration and Sustainability

A field visit for the MA Public Administration course on Environmental Administration and Sustainability was conducted in Sattari Taluka, Goa. The visit provided students with practical exposure to environmental governance, river ecology, mining impacts, forest conservation, pollution, and local environmental concerns. Shri Rajendra Kerkar, environmentalist and writer, served as the resource person and guided the students through field-based learning activities, sharing valuable insights into the region’s ecological significance and environmental challenges.
