The Discipline of Marathi, Shenoi Goembab School of Languages and Literature, in collaboration with 1 Goa Battalion NCC, Panaji, organized ‘Raksha Bandhan: A Salute to Indian Heroes’ on 8 Sep 2026, to commemorate 150 years of ‘Vande Mataram’. Goa University Vice-Chancellor Prof. R.S. Gad and Registrar Prof. S.N. Dhuri paid tribute to Veermata Tarabai Shinde, mother of martyr Ramchandra Shinde, and honored Naib Subedar Karan Bor for his dedicated service to the nation.
